Move Out Cleaning

Our business stands on two pillars: customers, and cleaners

We can’t control the kind of customers we get. Our goal is to serve all kinds of requests relating to residential cleaning. What we can control are the cleaners that we work with. We are very selective in the cleaners we hire. We require years of experience, and thorough background checks before we even assign them their first cleaning assignment. And we are convinced that we have done an excellent job of hiring A+ cleaners in our teams.

You see, I don’t get confident or cocky for no reason.  I am going to tell you a little story below and you will agree with me.

Last Tuesday (04.26.22), we got a call from a potential client. She mentioned that the cleaners that she hired had a last-minute emergency so couldn’t make it to the scheduled appointment (We all have those, so definitely no judgment there). What made this situation unpleasant was that it was a move-out cleaning. The client had to vacate the place and leave the house in a clean condition.

So, she called us in a little frantic state and wanted to know if we could help her. We certainly wanted to, but we have our teams’ scheduled days/weeks in advance so I couldn’t promise her anything right away and told her I will get back to her in a few minutes. I checked our scheduled and saw that one of our teams had a job ending at 2 pm and had the rest of the day open. The only problem? The cleaners had a scheduled half day off so that they could get some downtime (it has been busy the last few months). I called the lead cleaner and explained the situation. Obviously, I told them we don’t have to take the job and it was their decision. They could still take the rest of the day off and get some much-needed rest.

Well, the cleaners weren’t just any regular people. They understood the gravity of the situation and wanted to help the client. You can see what happened after that in the above pictures. They did an awesome job and left the place spotless. We had a very happy client but more importantly, I was proud of my team more than anything else.

I am not the one to do victory laps, but when you work with people that are empathetic, and hard-working, you just can help it. To show our appreciation, we compensate our cleaners above the market rate and pay them bonuses when they exceed our expectations.

And, I am proud to announce that our team is filled with cleaners like the above with tremendous work ethics who always go above and beyond to satisfy our clients.
